MAR was born in the Algarve and has established herself as one of the most distinctive emerging voices of Portugal’s new generation of urban and alternative music. A singer, songwriter, and producer, she has built a unique artistic universe that blends contemporary R&B, alternative pop, hip hop, soul, and electronic influences, combining a singular sound with a strong visual and creative identity.

After making her debut with independent releases while still a teenager, she performed at major festivals such as MEO Sudoeste and gradually developed an artistic path defined by experimentation, aesthetics, and a close connection to digital culture. Over the past few years, she has cultivated a highly engaged community around her creative world through projects that bring together music, visual imagery, fashion, and storytelling.

Alongside her musical career, MAR stands out for her ability to transform personal, cultural, and emotional references into authentic and contemporary content, positioning herself as a multifaceted and visually distinctive artist. She is currently developing her debut album, Cuica, an intimate and conceptual project that reflects her Iberian roots and her multidisciplinary artistic approach.
