Diana Vilarinho has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices of the new generation of fado, standing out for the intensity and authenticity of her performances. She began singing at the age of seven and first gained recognition after winning the Grande Noite do Fado in 2008, since building a solid career across renowned fado houses, major national stages, and international performances.
In 2021, she released her debut album, co-produced with Ricardo Ribeiro, introducing an artist with a strong identity and a clear artistic vision. More recently, she captivated audiences at the Festival da Canção, where she achieved second place, revealing a new dimension of her musical expression.
In 2026, she presents Uma Carta Escrita, her most personal work to date. Inspired by her grandmother’s story during the dictatorship, the project bridges the tradition of fado with a contemporary approach, featuring collaborations with some of the most prominent names in Portuguese music and literature.
